Just looking at these cupcakes makes me so happy! Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the sprinkles I bought to make these are called “unicorn love,” but there’s something about a classic vanilla cupcake plus bright, colorful sprinkles that’s hard not to love. Ingredients
- ⅔ cup of lightly salted softened butter
- ⅔ cup of softened cannabutter
- ¾ cup of superfine sugar
- Scant 1½ cups of self-rising flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
What’s needed for the buttercream
- 1⅓ cups of unsalted softened butter
- 1⅓ cups of sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of hot water
How To Make Weed Cupcakes
- Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 176 Celsius.
- Line a 12-section standard-sized muffin pan with paper cupcake cases.
- Put the cake ingredients into a large bowl, then beat with a hand-held electric beater until creamy and light.
- Divide the cake batter equally between the cupcake cases.
- Bake cupcakes for 20 minutes or until risen and firm enough to touch.
- Transfer cupcakes out of the oven to cool off.
Buttercream
- Put butter and confectioners sugar into a bowl, beat until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and hot water, mix and beat until smooth.
- After, spread buttercream over cupcakes.
Easy Vanilla Cannabis Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pre-made icing
- Sprinkles
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F and line muffin cups with papers.
2. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy (make sure the butter is room temperature, so the mixture doesn’t clump) Beat in eggs one at a time.
3. Add flour (mixed with baking powder and salt) alternating with milk beat well; stir in vanilla.
4. Divide evenly among mini cupcake pans and bake for 15-19 minutes.
Take the pans our of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Add icing, sprinkles and enjoy!
Cannabis Confetti Cupcakes
Ingredients
For the cupcakes

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1¾ cups granulated sugar
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons cannabis coconut oil melted
- 10 tablespoons thc coconut oil melted
- 1 cup milk or milk alternative
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
For the frosting
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch salt
- 1 to 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
Instructions
For the cupcakes
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line 2 standard muffin pans with paper liners. Set out butter for the frosting to let it come to room temperature.
- Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl until there are no more lumps and set aside.
- In a separate mixing bowl, add the eggs, coconut oils, milk, and vanilla extract and mix with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until smooth. Gently fold in the sprinkles by hand being sure not to overmix because the sprinkles will bleed into the batter.
- Fill each paper liner 2/3 full and bake 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cupcakes comes out clean.
- Cool the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely before frosting.
For the frosting
- Beat the butter using a hand mixer or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment on medium speed until fluffy and smooth. The color should be visibly lighter.
- Gradually add in the sugar and mix until combined.
- Add the vanilla and salt and whip until creamy. If the frosting is too stiff, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Animal Cookie Cupcakes
This recipe uses classic circus animal cookies to take plain weed vanilla cupcakes up a notch.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter + ½ cup cannabutter, room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped circus animal cookies
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease 12-cup muffin tin with butter or canola oil, or line with paper liners.
- Combine flours together in a small bowl and set aside.
- Beat butter and sugar in an electric stand mixer until smooth and creamy (About five minutes).
- Add eggs and mix until combined.
- Add dry ingredients and milk, scraping the bowl down twice. Mix until incorporated.
- Fold in chopped animal cookies.
- Pour batter into cupcake tin, so each cup is ¾ full.
- Bake cupcakes 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
- Frost once cupcakes are cool.
This classic stoner snack is elevated by the transformation into cupcake form, and a little red food coloring can make a pink frosting that pops.
Basic Buttercream Icing
Now that you’ve decided which variety of marijuana cupcakes will float your boat, here’s a simple recipe for buttercream icing that tastes divine on basically all baked goods.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 sticks sweet cream butter, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1.5 tbsp milk
Directions:
- Add softened butter to mixing bowl or stand mixer, and mix with vanilla until combined.
- Add powdered sugar. If using a stand mixer, beat on low until incorporated and kick it up to medium-high until smooth.
- Add milk slowly while mixing, until desired consistency is achieved.
After that, it’s just a matter of frosting your gorgeous cannabis confections and going to town.
